"For me, AfriVision means giving young women with migration backgrounds the platform, the confidence, and the community I wish I'd had when I first arrived in Austria."
AfriVision Austria 2026 is a platform for young women of African heritage to develop their leadership, show their talent and shape their community. Twenty-five places. One stage.
Saturday, 7 November 2026 · Tech Gate Vienna
Young women of African heritage, 18 to 30, living in Austria — in Vienna and beyond. Singers and dancers. Entrepreneurs and innovators. Designers, artists, photographers. Speakers and poets. Students and professionals. Community leaders, content creators, chefs, STEM enthusiasts. No stage experience required.
Leadership and confidence. Professional mentoring. Personal branding and public speaking. A network that outlasts the programme. Media exposure. A real stage — and an African costume for the gala, provided by us. And the chance to continue as a Community Ambassador.
Participants receive a prize package including scholarships and mentoring — plus the title of AfriVision Community Ambassador.
Nothing. Participation is free. Travel support is available for participants coming from outside Vienna.
AfriVision runs in three phases across autumn 2026.
Six workshops, Thu 22 October 2026 (welcome evening) · Fri 23 + Sat 24 October 2026. Interactive training, not lectures — you work on your own project with mentors. Follow-up sessions continue after the gala.
The six workshops
On 7 November 2026 in Vienna. Each participant presents her leadership journey and her talent — music, poetry, visual art, fashion, hair artistry, craft, cuisine, a business pitch, a community project, a technology demo. Talent is defined broadly and deliberately.
From December 2026 to June 2027, selected participants continue as AfriVision Community Ambassadors: mentoring, school visits, workshops and community projects. The programme's point is what happens after the stage lights go down.
All 25 participants complete the full programme — 15 finalists present at the gala.
Reach the African diaspora in Austria, support women's leadership and cultural participation, and put your name behind something that lasts beyond one evening. Partnerships from €500 to €3,000, plus in-kind and thematic partnerships.

No. Talent is defined broadly on purpose — a business pitch, a tech demo, cuisine or a community project count just as much as music or poetry. No stage experience required.
Nothing big: about five minutes of time, your talent in a few sentences, your motivation. A photo is optional.
The deadline is 10 October 2026. Earlier is better — there are twenty-five places.

"For me, AfriVision means giving young women with migration backgrounds the platform, the confidence, and the community I wish I'd had when I first arrived in Austria."
"Every migrant carries more than a suitcase. We carry memories, values, dreams, and identity. In the journey from one place to another, we become bridges that unite cultures and enrich the world."
"AfriVision is us giving back to society by providing a platform for empowerment, networking and showcasing African culture in its elegance."
“No one lights a lamp to hide it. Talent is given to shine — and to light the way for others.”
